The settlement originated from a fishing village, which is evident in the architecture of the buildings. Now the town has become a small but popular tourist resort.

Montenegro's most famous place is the small peninsula of Sveti Stefan, inhabited by houses from the 15th century, opposite Villa Miločer, an elegant stone residence located on Miločer Beach - the former summer residence of Queen Marija Karađorđević. Kamenovo Beach is a true gem of the Montenegrin coast. Located in a small natural bay between Bečići and Pržno, it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Kamenovo is known for its diverse offerings to visitors, from entertainment and enjoyment to relaxation. In 2019, it was officially declared the best beach in Montenegro.

Drobni Pijesak Beach is located north of Petrovac, between Sveti Stefan and Reževići. The beach stretches 250 meters with pale golden sand and clear water, perfect for swimming. It is renowned for its pristine water and has been awarded the Blue Flag designation.
